NovemberShigeichi Yamamoto, our first president, founded Japan’s first secondary aluminium smelting business in Osaka.

1924

MarchDaiki Aluminium Industry was established as a limited partnership company in Naniwa-ku, Osaka.

1948

OctoberDaiki Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. was established in Naniwa-ku, Osaka.

1959

JanuaryTokyo Sub-branch opened in Nakano-ku, Tokyo.

1961

JanuaryStarted operation of Yao Plant in Yao, Osaka.

1962

JanuaryStarted operation of Yuki Plant in Yuki, Ibaraki.

1963

FebruaryRegistered transfer of the headquarters to the premises of Yao Plant.

DecemberUpgraded Tokyo Sub-branch to Tokyo Sales Office and expanded it.

DecemberAcquired all shares of Daihaku Aluminium Industry Co., Ltd. in Fukuoka, Fukuoka.

DecemberOpened a new head office building in Nishi-ku, Osaka, and transferred head office operations to it.

MayIntegrated Yao Plant into Kameyama Plant.

MayEstablished Kiwa Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary in Yao, Osaka.

JuneEstablished a research institute in Yao and registered transfer of the headquarters to its premises.

OctoberOpened Los Angeles Representative Office.

NovemberOpened Nagoya Sub-branch in Anjo, Aichi.

MarchEstablished Daiki International Trading Corporation as a wholly-owned US subsidiary in California.

AprilStarted operation of Shirakawa Plant in Nishi-Shirakawa-gun, Fukushima.

MarchUpgraded Tokyo Sales Office to Tokyo Branch, expanded it, and relocated it to Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

AprilKameyama Plant of Daiki Metal Co., Ltd. started operation in Kameyama, Mie.

JulyDaihaku Aluminium Kogyo Co., Ltd. changed its name to Kyushu Daiki Aluminium Co., Ltd.

NovemberTomakomai Plant of Koshimura Aluminium Kogyosho Co., Ltd. started operation in Tomakomai, Hokkaido.

AugustIncreased the capital in Seishin Seisakusyo Co., Ltd. to make it a subsidiary.

OctoberEstablished Daiki Engineering Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary in Higashiosaka, Osaka.

OctoberChanged the name of the Research Institute to the Technical Center and relocated it to Kameyama, Mie.

MarchListed in the First Section of both the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.

JuneRegistered transfer of the headquarters to the premises of the Head Office.

JulyFacilities in western Japan that obtained ISO 9001 certification expanded the system to incorporate Shiga Plant into the organization.
